Abstract
Skeletonization based on wavelet maxima is a recently proposed method. However, it is well know that the skeletons is broken on the intersection regions. In this paper, we propose a method to repair the skeletons extracted by wavelet maxima, which are called primary skeletons. The primary skeletons are repaired using high-level Markov Random field (MRF) whose fetures are lines of primary skeletons. The final repaired skeletons are obtained by finding the optimal resolution of cost function of MRF. Experiments show the good performance of our method.
