2013 IEEE International Conference on Evolvable Systems (ICES)
Evolvable Systems use evolvable and other bio-inspired algorithms to create physical devices and designs. Further, Evolvable Systems may have adaptive characteristics required for more robust components and systems that operate in a changing environment. Examples of where evolvable systems have had some success include analogue and digital electronics, antennas, MEMS chips, optical systems as well as quantum circuits.
Held without interruption since 1995, ICES has become the leading conference in the field of evolvable hardware and systems. In a new and exciting move, ICES has joined the successful IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence. This years’ conference includes papers from international researchers using Evolvable Systems in applications from antenna design to robotics and in new technologies for FPGAs to custom devices and much more. In addition, we have a Keynote address from Prof. Gusz Eiben - one of the founders of evolutionary computing. We are sure you will find the conference interesting and will inspire your future research.
