2013 IEEE Symposium on Differential Evolution (SDE)

We extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to the delegates to 2013 Symposium on Differential Evolution (SDE) being held under IEEE SSCI 2013. Differential Evolution (DE) is arguably one of the most powerful stochastic real parameter optimization algorithms of current interest. DE and its variants have earned a widespread reputation within a short span of time due to their performances over optimization problems of widely varying nature that include single-objective, multi-objective, multi-modal, constrained, dynamic, and large-scale, etc. Although research on and with DE has reached an impressive state, there are still many open problems and new application areas are continually emerging for the algorithm. We are confident that this symposium will play a key role in bringing researchers and users from academia and industry together to report, interact and review the latest progress in this field, to explore future directions of research and to publicize DE to a wider audience from diverse fields.

The final technical program consist of 23 submissions organized in different sessions. There will be a keynote lecture delivered by Prof. Ferrante Neri. We hope you will find the symposium very interesting, and you will enjoy sharing time with your colleagues during the symposium to exchange new ideas.
